Expandable polystyrene (EPS) beads are lightweight spheres made primarily of air and a small percentage of polystyrene resin. During production, raw resin is expanded with steam and a blowing agent, resulting in a bead that is roughly 98% air and only 2% material. This unique structure delivers excellent insulation, shock absorption, and durability while keeping weight to a minimum.
